Job Description

The role

We are looking for Care Assistants to work with a young lady with a genetic neurological and developmental disorder & epilepsy in her home.

The role is varied and consists of supporting our client with daily tasks, including all elements of personal care, moving & assisting, administering medication and managing nutrition (PEG feeding).

Alongside the clinical aspects of care, you will also be there to provide the client with enrichment and make her days positive and enjoyable. This involves going to a day centre 3 days a week which allows her to socialise with friends and take part in group activities. This role involves plenty of time out and about, including walks to the park and the zoo, even days out to the cinema and the aquarium, ensuring that the day is as fun as possible. Whilst in the home, this young lady really enjoys being pampered and having her nails painted and is a big fan of musicals and Disney films.”

Qualifications

What you’ll need

You don’t need any social care experience to apply for this role. We’re more interested in your compassion and ability to care. You’ll need to be resilient too and willing to learn new skills and develop your knowledge as part of a close-knit team
